Communications Coordinator
Description
We’re seeking a Communications Coordinator to join the Marketing team at Collective Arts. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the Communications Coordinator plays a key role in shaping and amplifying our brand voice across various platforms. This role involves managing external and internal communication efforts, including social media, email marketing, press relations, website content, and internal messaging. The Communications Coordinator will collaborate closely with both the Brand Marketing and Brand Creative teams to ensure messaging aligns with key commercial priorities while creating impactful and engaging content. This individual will also take ownership of tracking and analyzing the success of marketing communication initiatives.
A typical day as a Communications Coordinator includes:
- Organize and own the ongoing social media, e-mail and website content calendar that aligns with brand priorities and key commercial initiatives
- Measure, analyze and report on the effectiveness of various marketing communication initiatives (e.g. Google Analytics, social media insights etc.)
- Create written content such as press releases, emails, influencer pitches, blog posts, and social media content while supporting the development of key messaging for the Collective Arts brand
- Work with the Head of Marketing to manage media relations tasks such as coordinating media interviews, media kit prep, updating key contact lists and track all press / media reports
- Work with the Head of Brand Creative to create visual content (photos, videos etc.) to post on social media and work with them to create a content calendar for the year
- You will manage all postings and content on the social media channels for Collective Arts and you will engage with influencers through our internal platform (Later)
- Travel to various Collective Arts locations and brand activations to capture fun and engaging content to post on social media
- You will report back to the Head of Marketing and the Head of Brand Creative with the successes and challenges of various marketing campaigns using key marketing/social analytics and other findings
- You will work with the Human Resources Manager to assist with internal communications, memos and employee newsletters
How your time will be organized:
- 30% Copywriting: including but not limited to press releases, product descriptions and email marketing
- 30% Content Creation: Creating innovative and engaging visual content such as social stories, posts and videos
- 20% Content Planning: Develop and maintain the content calendar for social media, email, and website, ensuring alignment with brand and commercial initiatives.
- 10% Analysis and Reporting: Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing communications, leveraging tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights to report on performance.
- 10% Internal Communications & Misc Tasks: Assist with internal messaging, employee newsletters, and other marketing and brand support as needed.
We’re looking for candidates who have/are:
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, or a business-related degree
- 1+ years of relevant working experience
- Expert in all social media channels (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest)
- Extensive experience creating engaging visual content such as photo and video to post on social media
- Experience working with Google analytics and experience with monthly reporting is considered an asset
- Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to adopt different brand voices and optimize your copy for different outlets
- Experienced with and excited by growing and nurturing an online following and community
- A strong track record of social media marketing and creating popular or viral content for social media
- Procedural, organized, and speedy at execution
- A stickler when it comes to conventions of tone, grammar, and the nitty-gritty of content
- A team player and a self-starter who is always eager to learn and grow
- Demonstrated writing, grammar and content creation skills
- Happy to adapt to rapidly changing projects and responsibilities
- Must have your G license and reliable access to a vehicle to be able to travel to various locations
- Evening and weekend availability when needed
